Solar Plexus / Heart

Journal Entry Date: 12 Mar 2004

Thought for the Day: 'who will enjoy looking at you when there is no flesh on your bones?" --Old Age, verse 149 (Crosweller, Buddhist Wisdom Daily Reflections)

Thank you, Lord, for problem at work fixed.

Brought to eye/mind today:
>Kit the cat sitting at the top of the stairs with the light behind her; she's outlined in light.
>Medit: Image or concept in mind the last few months (associated with the solar plexus/heart chakras) of two roughly spherical shapes with foci inside each. The foci appear to be situated near the outer walls. The two foci are attempting to be in contact with each other and are drawn together so strongly that it deforms the surfaces of the spheres. If you drew a circle around the foci, the contents would resemble the yin-yang symbol. Today see the spherical areas as red, living, veined vacuoles lined with transparent or translucent membranes. I'm seeing it as a 3-dimensional work with the vacuoles being sliced along the normal plane and the membranes extending further--above the normal--and curved. A picture is below.

Journal:
>At work my boss talked about the history of the American West and the Mormons' psy-war against the U.S.Army.
>Veged out on the couch this PM.

It Always Comes Back to Balance

Journal Entry Date: 11 Mar 2004

Thought for the Day: It's a fact of life: When you're concentrating on the details, the bigger picture is lost--and vice versa. As usual, the trick is to balance the two.

Thank you, Lord, for new glass frames that function correctly.

Brought to eye/mind today: Odd smiles, ravens

Journal:
>Stayed home sick yesterday.
>Reading about art theory

Journal Entry Date: 9 Mar 2004

"Looks Presidential"

Journal Entry Date: 7 Mar 2004

Thought for the Day: "Remember the body is not real. If you focus on this you will overcome temptations and break this cycle of birth and death." --Flowers, verse 46 (Crossweller, Buddhist Wisdom Daily Reflections)
NOTE: This say mind controls all. Also, birth-death is like a vicious circle.

Thank you, Lord, for a new toothbrush.

Journal:
>Medit: Working on a second fiber piece, one for the show next year--a combination of optic fiber, cloth fiber and parabolic reflectors (plastic eggshells mirrored on their inner surfaces).
>Considering replacing the cotton lawn in the piece recently shown with many layers of cheesecloth, randomly oriented.
>While sitting at desk, visualized glasses frames being replaced.
>Success-sharing bonus received.
>Painted for a short while today.

Just Didn't Want to Watch It

Journal Entry Date: 6 Mar 2004

Thought for the Day: When I'm out of balance, like an unbalanced wheel, I wander off my chosen course and it takes a strong effort to get back again.

Especially caught by this one--Another Chandra pic (which a co-worker has as a desktop image.

Journal:
>MLF selected the movie "Frailty" as his choice for this week. I didn't want to watch it, so excused myself. Just didn't want to watch it.

More Ravens

Journal Entry Date: 5 Mar 2004

Thought for the Day: "In the noble eightfold path, what is Right Concentration? To be free of desire and not to allow the torment of the mind to have any effect. To be in that secluded place where there is true awareness of joy and happiness. This is the first level of concentration." --Digha Nikaya (Crosweller, Buddhist Wisdom Daily Reflections)

Thank you, Lord, for my work being shown.

Brought to eye/mind today: Ravens overhead and in an artwork seen.

A Questioning Raven

Journal Entry Date: 03 Mar 2004

Thought for the Day: What you play in your mind manifests in one form or another in the world in which humans live, reputedly the "real" world. Be clear, be free.

Thank you, Lord, for my artpiece being included in the show.

>My first piece (done since returning to art work) to be shown, is being displayed at Alaska Pacific University.

Kit's (our cat's) Company

Journal Entry Date: 29 Feb 2004

Third Revelation

Thank you, Lord, for a spirit of inquiry.
